Kiz: ‘Here’s the haircut… I wish she’d taken more off it, but it does feel refreshed.  And it does feel nice having it straight, where usually I can’t be bothered to spend the time doing that!’

'Valenciana', oil painting by Franciso Pons Arnau, 1945; in the Musee de Belle Artes, Valencia

Sooze: ‘A walk today in the Jardin del Turia took me to the ‘Museo de las Bellas Artes’, which was a vast grand building, totally free of charge to enter. And weirdly, empty. (The door security guard said it was because everyone was having lunch…) Most of their collection was religious stuff – yawn – but I liked the gallery of work by Francisco Pons Arnau – this painting’s just called ‘Valenciana’, Valencian lady. It’s life-size, I like the light, the natural pose, and the way the dress is sparkling. Might visit the gallery of modern art soon…’
